eeeEEE? cog sci student in ottawa, on.; fantastically in love with my life; usually too excited to sleep.
Tonight I watched the documentary The Mother Project (2006), the story of an American photographer, Tierney Gearon, who has been the subject of some controversy for the naked photos she takes of her kids. She is now studying her naked mother and new baby.
Left to my discretion, this woman would be arrested. Her supporters say it’s art, but both her kids say they don’t like it. And she says she’s “doing it for herself.” That part was obvious. It’s a pretty fucked documentary; I was physically upset by it and am more convinced than ever that people should not unwillingly be the subjects of “art” at their psychological expense.
